Parenting:

There are many resources available to women during pregnancy. We can help connect you with resources that can help financially, emotionally, and with any concerns you might have about continuing with a pregnancy. Some areas of support we provide are:

  • Earn as You Learn Program: A Free online educational video program to help answer questions about pregnancy and life skills. You earn points with each video which can be used to obtain new baby items including diapers, wipes, a pack-and-play, and much more.
  • Parenting Mentor- A mentor who will walk alongside you and help answer any questions you have.
  • Connection with community resources (Medicaid, WIC, SNAP, etc.) that can help financially during pregnancy.
  • Connection with others- Ongoing parenting classes that provide love and peer support of mom’s and dad’s.
    Adoption [5]:
  • Semi-Open Adoption: In a semi-open adoption, birth parents can choose and meet the adoptive family from an approved list of waiting families. However, identifying information such as address, and phone numbers are not shared. The adoptive family sends regular updates and pictures to the birth family. In this arrangement, the agency serves as the mediator for any contact. The birth family can also send letters and special gifts but is not obligated to do so.
  • Closed Adoption: It’s called a closed adoption because the birth family decides they do not want contact with the adoptive family or child. In this arrangement, the baby would be placed with an approved waiting adoptive family that Christian Adoption Services chooses for you. However, if at any time the birth family decides they would like to receive updates, they can.
