Palliative Care & Perinatal Hospice

Mountain Area Pregnancy services provides a neonatal palliative care program for families who receive a life-limiting diagnosis in the womb, such that their baby’s health condition is not compatiable with life. This program is called Eva’s Footprints. Eva’s Footprints provides trained medical staff who walk alongside you through this diagnosis journey. Our trained staff help prepare specially crafted birth plans for your family.  We work with families to plan celebration of life or memorial services. We offer free and confidential one-on-one counseling and provide ideas and resources that allow families to make memories with their precious child. We also provide resources to “mom and dad” to help them process their grief journey, as well as connect them with other families who have experienced the same journey. During your pregnancy MAPS offers free “compassion” ultrasounds to record your baby’s heartbeat which then gets placed inside a teddy bear for the family. The family is then able to play their baby’s heartbeat at anytime for peace, calm, and assurance.
